The Foundational Course is a 4-module course that teaches your the Engagement First™ framework, will help you scale your influence, and create positive change at your work.
WHAT IS ENGAGEMENT FIRST™?
Engagement First™ is a framework that helps experts solve their most challenging problems by providing a structured approach to curiosity and experimentation. Solving an impossible problem means that you’ll have to learn to influence and engage at scale (instead of pushing to get people to buy-in to your solution). Engagement First™ helps you do just that.
STEP 1: Map your network — understand who needs to be a part of the Change Journey™ that you’re guiding and identify influencers who can help you see the problem more clearly and shape your approach to solving it.
STEP 2: Meet people where they are. You’ll learn how change follows a cycle, and if you try to push people too fast, you’ll get stuck. You’ll get curious about the experience of others even as you influence how they see the problem and possible solutions.
STEP 3: Celebrate resistance — I know, I know. Nobody likes resistance. But if you learn exactly how it works and how to understand it you will start to see it as one of the most effective sources of data about your change journey.
STEP 4: Engage. Too often we think in terms of monolithic solutions (if only everyone would start doing things differently, things would get better!). But monolithic solutions often fail because they’re not battle tested. Sure, the technology behind them might be solid, but to invite change in your organization you’ve got to help other people see the benefits of a change. And the best way to do that is to engage and co-create solutions with others.
